Decades of serving local community

John spent decades actively supporting his community through board leadership, volunteering thousands of hours, and generous sponsorships and donations for most of the non-profit organizations in his community. He also helped created new organizations when there was a need in the community.

Port Salerno Community

John Pierson’s generosity spanned across a broad spectrum of local non-profit organizations and he stepped up to initiate community efforts whenever there was a specific need.

Thousands of Bicycles were purchased and given to 100 youth every year at Pt. Salerno’s Christmas Jamboree.

John’s dealership was also a proud sponsor of the annual Christmas Jamboree hosted by Pt. Salerno Community Promotions, along with being a major sponsor and key board member from the onset of the infamous Pt. Salerno Seafood Festival. This festival began shortly after the fish netting ban, which impacted hundreds of community members who were 4th and 5th generation fishing families. The festival was initiated to help bridge divides within a diverse community, and empower displaced workers. Pt. Salerno Seafood Festival grew from the first year in attendance of 3,000 to over 30,000, and due to it’s success, and from the support and involvement from leaders such as John Pierson, the event outgrew Pt. Salerno’s capacity and had to be relocated to Port St. Lucie.

Local Health and Veterans

John prioritized the health and well-being of the community through generous sponsorships through his dealership, even hosting fundraisers at his beautiful property in Pt. Salerno.

A few of the organizations which John was deeply involved with were: Alzheimer’s Community Care, Pink Tie Friends (Breast Cancer support), Martin Memorial Foundation, local Veteran fundraisers which honored and supported Veterans, such as SaluteUS, Brothers at War, and so many more.

Education and Local Economy

Education and empowering people to succeed in the local economy was another top priority of John’s.

Just a few of the organizations John became deeply involved with, including generous sponsorships, including hosting private fundraisers for some:

Martin County School District (supporting all sports and academic teams throughout the school district annually, purchasing uniforms, field trips and more), Martin Arts (Galas, Festivals supporting the arts), Helping People Succeed, Stuart Mainstreet, Pt. Salerno Community Promotions, Stuart Fireworks, Soroptimist of Stuart’s Christmas Parade, and many local community events for decades.
